Privacy Policy

PDX Elevator Safety Testing & Standby, LLC operates pdxelevatorsafety.com. This policy explains what this website collects, what our service providers collect, and what we do with the documents you send us.

This website has no contact forms, no accounts, no shopping cart and no payment processing. It collects nothing from you directly. You reach us by phone or email, and we hold whatever you choose to send us. We do not sell information about you to anyone, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Nothing you type. There are no forms or input fields anywhere on this site. The buttons marked Call and Email a Quote Request open your own phone or email application. Nothing is transmitted to us until you choose to send it.

Standard web request data. Like any website, our host records the ordinary information your browser sends when it requests a page: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is used for security and to keep the site running.

Hosting: Automattic (WordPress.com). This site is hosted by Automattic, which processes the request data described above on our behalf.

Traffic statistics: Jetpack Stats. We use Jetpack Stats, an Automattic service, to see aggregate visit counts and which pages are read. We use this to decide what to write about. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Images: Jetpack image service. Some images are delivered from Automattic’s image network (i0.wp.com) rather than from our own server, so your browser makes a request to Automattic when loading them.

Fonts: Google Fonts. Typefaces on this site are requested from Google’s font service. Loading a page therefore sends your IP address to Google, which is how any Google Fonts request works.

We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or social media tracking scripts on this website.

This site sets no cookies of its own for advertising or profiling. Our hosting and statistics providers may set functional cookies necessary to serve and measure the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; nothing on this site requires them.

This is the part that matters most for our work. Building owners and property managers send us maintenance agreements, modernization proposals, repair quotes, state inspection reports and permit records, often before becoming clients, because we review those documents at no charge.

When you send us a document:

• We use it only to answer the question you asked us about it.
• We do not share it with your current elevator contractor, with a manufacturer, or with any other building owner.
• We do not publish it, and we do not use it as a marketing example, unless you give us permission in writing.
• We keep it while it is useful to the work you asked for, and we will delete it on request.

Contract terms and pricing you send us are treated as confidential. If you would prefer we delete a document as soon as we have answered your question, say so when you send it and we will.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked to hear from us. We do not build advertising profiles.

Correspondence and project records are kept for as long as we have a working relationship and for the period afterward required for our business records, insurance and licensing obligations. Documents sent for a one-time review are kept only as long as needed for that review, or deleted sooner on request.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email schedule@pdxelevatorsafety.com or call 503-810-0834 and we will handle it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law; we will honor a valid request regardless of whether a statute requires it of us.

This is a commercial elevator services website intended for building owners, property managers and facility staff. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the effective date above.
